My Benefits provides secure online access to your benefits administered the Department of Employee Trust Funds. The system is exclusively for Wisconsin Retirement System member use and cannot be accessed by dependents, family members, or a Power of Attorney (POA).

MyWisconsin ID

My Benefits uses MyWisconsin ID, which allows citizens to create a single account linked to their personal email address for access to participating Wisconsin government websites. In the future, more services will require a MyWisconsin ID.

If you don’t have a MyWisconsin ID yet, you can create an account by clicking Login on the My Benefits for Members page, then selecting Sign Up. You must provide a personal email address (not wisconsin.gov or wi.gov), which will become your username.

Watch Get Started with My Benefits for detailed instructions or visit the Division of Enterprise Technology's MyWisconsin ID page.

For additional MyWisconsin ID support, please call the MyWisconsin ID Account Service Desk at 608-471-6667.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

To secure your account, you will need to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA adds an additional layer of protection by requiring both your password and a second form of verification—such as a code sent to your phone—to help prevent unauthorized access to your account.

Choose one of four MFA options when creating your account. If you select an option that uses an app (e.g., Google Authenticator), ensure it’s downloaded first.

Identity Verification

When accessing My Benefits for the first time, you'll need to verify your identity by providing demographic information, including your social security number, date of birth, and address. You won’t need to do this for future logins. If we’re unable to verify your identity, you may be asked to upload a photo of yourself along with your driver’s license or passport for further verification.

Viewing Your Statement

To view your WRS Annual Statement of Benefits, please ensure that pop-ups are enabled, as the statement will open in a new window. Most browsers block pop-ups by default.

If you need help, you can search online for instructions on how to enable pop-ups for your specific browser.
