Change My Tax Withholding
Most retirement payments are subject to federal and state taxes. Have ETF withhold the right amount of money from your monthly benefit payment. Note: Federal withholding tables are subject to changes by the Internal Revenue Service. Consult with your professional tax advisor or visit irs.gov for the latest information.

Designate a Beneficiary

The Department of Employee Trust Funds is committed to protecting your Wisconsin Retirement System account. Your information is confidential, and no one can receive information about or make changes to your account unless authorized. You can authorize another person to make changes to your account by submitting a financial power of attorney document to ETF.

Access your Wisconsin Deferred Compensation Program (WDC) account information by clicking on the following link to go to the WDC website and login.
Make Additional Contributions
You must be an active (working) employee of a Wisconsin Retirement System employer to make additional contributions to your WRS account. There are 3 ways to make additional contributions: online payment, send a check or money order, or a payroll deduction through your employer. Use the link below to make an online payment.

Pay My Invoice
If you have received a benefit overpayment, you’ll need to pay the extra money back to ETF. Use the link below to make a convenient, online payment.
Note: The online payment site is administered by US Bank. Any fees or overdraft charges incurred are the responsibility of the member. Payments received by 8:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) will be considered received for the current business day. Payments received after the 8:00 p.m. CST will be considered for the next business day. On your credit card or bank statement, this payment shows up as “ETF e-Payment".

Schedule an Appointment
Non-retired members may schedule a benefits counseling appointment. Before scheduling an appointment, you must have received a Retirement Benefit Estimate and Application (ET-4301) or a Disability Benefit Estimate and Application (ET-5302). See the Applying for Retirement section for more information.
To schedule an appointment, please use the convenient appointment scheduling system or call ETF at 1-877-533-5020. Choose either an online or by phone, individual appointment or an online group appointment. Wait times for appointments can be up to 6 weeks, depending on availability.
